Justice & Peace and Integrity of Creation
Justice & Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) is an essential aspect of our mission work, for it concerns the human family and its relationship to the Kingdom of God. This work, which is poorly acclaimed, addresses the issues of social justice in all its dimensions and conditions “sine qua non” towards peace. It is not an optional component for those who serve the life of the Gospels, for the theme of Justice & Peace and Integrity of Creation has implications for all who engage in missionary activities.
Our priority in this apostolate is the “Fundacion de Hogares Verbo Divino”. Presently, the “Minor house” has around 400 minors whom are socially at risk. They live in eight different houses. The “Fundacion” has its own regulations and is guided by a Council formed by lay people and religious. This entity is sponsored by foreign benefactors, but it is searching for a system that enables the local community to take financial responsibility for its own organization.
